What Happens If My Teacher Misses a Scheduled Lesson at Danaa School?
If your teacher misses a scheduled lesson at Danaa School, follow these steps to address the situation:
- Wait and Confirm:
- Allow a few extra minutes as your teacher might be experiencing technical issues or a minor delay.
- Verify your time zone settings to ensure there is no confusion about the scheduled lesson time.
- Reach Out to Your Teacher:
- Send a message through the Danaa School platform to ask about their absence.
- Politely inquire if there was a misunderstanding about the lesson time.
- Report the Incident:
- If you do not receive a response or if the teacher repeatedly misses lessons, report the incident to Danaa School support.
- Include details about the missed lesson, such as the date, time, and any communication you had with the teacher.
- Request a Refund or Credit:
- Depending on Danaa School’s policies, you may be entitled to a refund or lesson credit if your teacher does not show up.
- Contact support with your request and provide all necessary information for verification.
- If you are eligible for a refund or lesson credit due to your teacher not showing up for a scheduled lesson, the refunding process may take up to 7 working days.

How to Cancel a Lesson:
On Danaa School Platform, a lesson can only be canceled or rescheduled 24 hours before the lesson start time. If you are unable to attend a lesson, inform your teacher as soon as possible. Discuss the possibility of arranging a refund with your teacher. If the refund cannot be agreed upon, the teacher is entitled to receive full payment for the lesson. For any cancellations, both the student and the teacher should contact the support team.
What Happens If You Don’t Show Up for a Scheduled Lesson
If you do not show up for a scheduled lesson, the following steps will be taken:
20-Minute Grace Period:
- Your teacher will wait for 20 minutes after the scheduled start time in case you are running late.
- If the student does not show up, the teacher should inform the support team during the 20 minutes of waiting.
Lesson Cancellation:
- If you do not arrive within 20 minutes, the lesson will be considered canceled.
Credit Transfer:
- The lesson credit will be transferred to the teacher, unless you have an agreement with the teacher regarding the missed lesson.
1. Last-Minute Cancellations
Cancellation within 24 hours of the lesson start time.
Penalties:
- First Offense: Friendly reminder and warning.
- Second Offense: 50% lesson credit deduction and discussion with support.
- Third Offense: Full lesson credit deduction and final warning.
2. No-Shows
Failure to attend a scheduled lesson without prior notice.
Penalties:
- First Offense: Friendly reminder and warning.
- Second Offense: Full lesson credit deduction and discussion with support.
- Third Offense: Temporary suspension of booking privileges for one week.
- Fourth Offense: Suspension of booking privileges for one month and mandatory consultation with support.
Additional Note:
- Tutor-Student Agreements: Students and tutors are allowed to make individual agreements regarding lesson cancellations or rescheduling, provided they inform the support team. This flexibility allows for personalized arrangements that suit both parties’ needs.
Trial Lesson Cancellation and No-Show Policy
- Cancellation Policy:
- Students must cancel trial lessons at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to do so may result in limited access to future trial lessons with other tutors.
- If the student wishes to have another lesson with the same tutor after missing a trial, they must book a paid lesson.
- No-Show Policy:
- If a student does not show up for a scheduled trial lesson without prior notice, the trial lesson will be considered completed. The student will not be able to schedule another free trial lesson with the same tutor.
Finishing the Lesson:
- Lesson Confirmation:
- Lessons will be automatically confirmed when attended and ended.
- Leave a Review:
- Provide a review of your experience with the teacher on the platform.
- Offer constructive feedback to help improve the quality of services at Danaa School.
Technical Requirements:
- Both students and teachers should install Any Desk on their computers to facilitate smooth and efficient lessons.
- Ensure you have a stable internet connection and a functional webcam and microphone.
To avoid losing lesson credits, please ensure you are on time for your scheduled lessons or notify your teacher in advance if you need to reschedule.
Harassment Policy for Students
According to the rules of our platform, any violation of social norms and rules — including inappropriate behavior, sexual harassment, and fraud — is strictly prohibited on Danaa.
We work hard to make sure students never encounter inappropriate behavior or messages from tutors, but sometimes it can still happen. If you face this inappropriate behavior, get in touch with our support team immediately!
How to Report Violations
At Danaa, we prioritize a positive and respectful learning environment. While we don’t have a block button on our platform, we encourage students to maintain open communication. If you encounter any issues that violate our community guidelines, please take a screenshot and promptly report it to our Support Team.
