Yes. We teach many non-Persian speakers using transliteration (Farsi written in Latin letters) in the first weeks. You start speaking and listening immediately, and the Persian script is introduced gradually alongside. Most students can read basic Farsi within 3–4 weeks of starting.
Significantly. Farsi and Arabic share a large portion of vocabulary (estimates range from 25–40% of Farsi words have Arabic origins).
